The aim of the association is to create a relationship with the Government to obtain collaboration to get important issues here in Cape Verde solved. For instance: taxation, Notary and Registry, the image of Cape Verde, services and infrastructures.
After having had different meetings with Ministers and Presidents of all the town halls, PROMITUR organized a very important Forum in Sal on the 17th of November 2008.
The Prime Minister and other important parties were present to discuss how we can “use this crisis to benefit Cape Verde”. The issues discussed were:

• Banks: taking measures to increase the foreign investments; improving the business environment; stimulate the creation of mutual private and public funds;
• National and International financing: how this affects local Companies;
• Salary flexibility on labour; intensify professional training relevantly and coordinated;
• Creating fiscal benefits (reducing IUP, cost of registry…);
• Promoting Cape Verde and tourism in new markets;
• Increase the QUALITY of the tourism: QUALITY has been the “key word” of the day, and everyone agreed on the importance of this matter.

What is very positive is all the different parties: central government, local government and all the developers are willing to work together to make Cape Verde a even better place to invest.
